The Tree Is Up

The temperatures finally warmed up enough
for us to get out and cut down a Christmas tree.

And now the tree is up and the decorating is done.

Including a couple of the decorations I made this year.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

More Christmas Decorations

Making Christmas decorations has taken up lots of my time lately.

There are some with trees....

and some with bicycles...

and some with branches.

And now I better get busy with getting a tree to hang these on...
and finish the shopping...
and wrap some presents .....
and do some baking ....
and clean the house.......

Christmas Decorations

I made these Christmas decorations just in time for
the local Christmas sale a couple of weeks ago.

They sold out very quickly,
and I have been trying to find some time to make some more.

They have many layers, including paper pulp, tea bags, gesso and paint,
and then images or stamps, some ink and collage bits
before adding a final layer of paste wax.

Maybe tomorrow I will have some time to play with some more of these
..... although I do have some snow shoveling to do!

Little Cabin in the Woods

We recently spend a few days at our little cabin in the woods.
We spent lots of time doing wood work  - cutting and stacking firewood that is!

But I also enjoyed the beauty of the trees.

And the daylight hours continue to get shorter.

We have lots of wood ready for the winter,
and I can't wait until we can spend some more days
at our little cabin in the woods.

Trees...Trees....Trees...

I continue to play with trees
mixed with a variety of mediums....
acrylic paint, pastels, charcoal, graphite, ink, collage,
and whatever else is laying around on my desk.

It is my favourite way to create.... or at least at the moment.

I then mounted them onto small wooden cradled panels.

The Long Version

I am keeping busy preparing for
an upcoming local craft sale.

A post or two ago, I shared some short necklaces I had made

and now I share the longer  versions  that can be worn
3 different ways.

As a long single strand or a shorter double stranded necklace,

or as a wrap style bracelet.

Such fun to make, and fun to wear!

End of Fall . . . . Beginning of Winter

I still seem to be creating with fall colours
even though the leaves have left the trees

and the fall colours are gone,
and winter colours are moving in.
